🧑‍💻 Happy Thanksgiving

Why I believe Thanksgiving isn't only an American holiday, but one all digital nomads will appreciate

Hey Insiders,

Today’s email is a quick one, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Now, I know that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving and that it has a very complicated past, but for me, it’s especially important.

My family and I immigrated to the US in November of 2003 just a few weeks before Thanksgiving.

Not only was it my first holiday in the States, but it was also a very fitting one.

We had moved across the world to a place where we had no family and yet were welcomed into someone else’s home where we lived for several months.

Many of you are digital nomads or aspire to be one day, and at some point, you will likely experience something similar.

You will stay in a stranger’s house far from home and share a meal with them.

That’s why I don’t view Thanksgiving as a purely American holiday…

But one we can all celebrate.

So, happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Take some time today and think about all the things you’re grateful for, and if someone came to mind while you read this email, that extended a helping hand when you needed it, give them a call and let them know.

I promise it will make their day.

See you next week!
